James Kirsch, a 36 year veteran of the fire service, is currently serving as captain.  He is the highest ranking career firefighter in the Bergenfield, NJ combination fire department. Jim holds a Masters of Public Administration and is a graduate of the elite National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) program.  He has written several articles for Fire Engineering and has authored sections of Fire Engineering's Study Guide for Firefighter I and II.  On several occasions Jim has presented at FDIC and Firehouse Expo, and is featured in the educational DVD, Live Fire Training in Acquired Structures.
